Interview with Lizzie King
This week we meet Lizzie King.
she is the mother of Jethro 8, Calypso 5 and Phoenix 2. She is a qualified Nutritional Health Coach, a rising Instagram star, graduate of Leith’s School of Cookery and founder of Vitalove children’s food. Coming from a big family even bigger on food, she’s been surrounded by delicious cooking and food all her life. She is known for making deliciously easy recipes, super healthy food for babies, children and families. All food is gluten and sugar free with dairy alternatives.She holds regular Cooking evenings in which she demonstrates how to create delicious food fast and easily, and offers tips, shortcuts and nutritional nuggets to give confidence and ideas to families.

When did you started to be interested in nutrition?
I’ve been into it for ages, but I started really wanting to learn more and more when I was pregnant with my first baby 9 years ago. And went on to do a nutrition course 4 years later after my second.
Where you passion for food is coming from?
From an upbringing where food was always at the very centre of everything. And spending months of the year in Italy eating the best food there is.
We all Know that the culinary habit come from your childhood. What would be your advice for parents who just had a child?
Don’t feed them anything you wouldn’t eat. Make it as easy and delicious as you can.
The children are really hard to feed when they are young, do you have some fun tips to give us?
Try not to get stressed. Make it fun, flying spoons, songs, whatever you need to do to get them enjoying eating.
What do you like to do during your free times?
There isn’t much of that at the moment! I love going to gigs, a good movie, and just dinner with friends at their house is one of my best evenings.
What kind of activities do you like to do with your children?
Anywhere outside makes all of us happy. Swimming, parks or just long, muddy walks, it’s where everyone gets away from it all and can be together.
What’s your favourite outfits from Fancy Kids?
I think your clothes are really chic, and I have my eye on the red dress by Tails and Tales,elegant and playful all at once.
