Tatler Schools Live!

We’re sure all parents can relate to the feeling that our little ones are growing up too fast. One minute you’re changing nappies and singing lullabies; the next, you’re packing them off for their first day at school. Choosing a school for your child can be both exciting and daunting; wherever you’re living, there’s a multitude of factors to take into consideration. Location, facilities, class numbers; the list goes on. Luckily, the team at Tatler have set out to make the process a little easier.

Following on from the success of last year’s event, the magazine is returning to London with Tatler Schools Live! Taking place at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower on October 10th, Schools Live! brings together leading headmasters and headmistresses from prep and public schools across London and the UK. Best known for their commentary on high society, luxury fashion and property insights, Tatler has been publishing their annual Schools Guide for over a decade, reviewing over 240 schools across the country.

This one-day event is jam-packed full of Q&A’s, lectures and debates, so you can be sure that all ground is covered. The team have brought together an impressive programme of speakers, including Jim Hawkins, Head Master of Harrow School and Alice Rose, Editor at Large of Tatler Schools Guide. Running from 9am-5pm, this lively event promises to answer any burning questions you may have.

The morning begins with coffee and pastries, followed by a selection of talks that put the spotlight on subjects you may well have been debating yourself. Is a single sex school best for your child? What can country prep schools offer that a city school can’t? You can muse on the talks during a buffet lunch supplied by Corney and Barrow. The afternoon session offers a further timetable of talks, from debating the benefits of boarding versus day, to an in depth discussion of making the transition to senior school. Feeling a little overwhelmed? The event closes with a champagne drinks reception and wine tasting; the perfect end to a busy day.

Tickets for Tatler Schools Live! are priced at £250 or £400 for a pair and are available to buy at http://www.tatler.com/schoolslive
